RAT Joins Forces with North America’s Largest NDT Firm
Remote Access Technology (RAT) International announces its acquisition by Rockwood Service Corporation.
RAT provides industrial rope access solutions, including, nondestructive testing, maintenance, repair, and standby rescue services in difficult to reach areas of facilities such as confined spaces and high access structures. Rockwood (Greenwich, CT) is a leader in inspection and testings, operating in over 20 countries and over 100 offices throughout the world through its Acuren, Sperry, and Hellier businesses. Acuren, the largest provider of nondestructive testing (NDT), inspection and materials engineering services in North America, serves major corporations across many industries including: Petrochemical, Refinery, Pipeline, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, and Automotive.
RAT will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood. The entire organization of RAT will remain and will continue in their current positions.
This acquisition allows RAT to expand its nondestructive (NDT) capabilities as well as provide other specialized services. “Many of our clients were looking for more service offerings from us.
